STEAM SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CONTEST

 

The Lancaster Museum & Public Art Foundation (LMPAF), the fundraising arm for Lancaster’s Museum of Art & History (MOAH), proudly presents a new essay scholarship for high school juniors and seniors. Students are invited to submit essays expressing their thoughts on “How art and technology will impact the future of the Antelope Valley.”

 

Requirements:

 

Submissions must be original works of between 550 and 650 words.

Student authors must be high school juniors or seniors that reside in the Antelope Valley.

Qualified submissions will be judged on writing skills, critical thinking and the overall creativity of the essay. 

 

Award:

 

The awardee will receive a $500 cash award and a tour of ABC 7 Los Angeles studios.

 

Deadline:

 

Submissions must be received by 6:00 p.m. on October 1, 2015 to qualify. Entries can be mailed or hand delivered to LMPAF c/o City of Lancaster, 44933 Fern Avenue, Lancaster, CA 93534.

 

The selected scholarship recipient will be notified by October 10, 2015. A public announcement of the award will be made at the Annual MOAH Gala, at which the winner and their parents will be honored.
